Comprehensive Hearing Tests for Those In Missoula, Montana

Have you noticed that you are having trouble hearing those around you lately? If so, it’s important to get your hearing checked out to ensure you remain in optimal health. Luckily, for those in Missoula, Montana, Vibrant Hearing offers comprehensive hearing tests that will identify the extent of your hearing loss and help us find the best possible solution. Our goal is to support you in any way possible when it comes to your hearing.

Our Hearing Evaluations

When you schedule an appointment at Vibrant Hearing, we will put you through a comprehensive hearing test that involves much more than simply putting on a pair of headphones to identify tones and pitches.

We will start by having an in-depth conversation with you regarding your personal and family history, as well as the levels of noise you are regularly exposed to in your day-to-day life. We will also hear and address any concerns you may have to ensure you are at ease and feel heard.

Next, your provider will perform an examination of your outer ears, ear canals, and eardrums to identify or rule out any possible obstructions or damage.

After this, we would guide you through:

  • A pure-tone test that allows us to measure your ability to hear at different tones and volumes
  • A speech assessment to assess how well you can understand quiet and loud conversations in various environments
  • An air pressure test that will measure how well your eardrum and middle ear muscles react to changes in pressure

Throughout your hearing test, your results will be clearly documented on an audiogram, which will show us how much difficulty you have hearing sounds in high or low pitches. From there, we can identify the best course of action going forward.

Having Trouble Hearing?

Our Hearing Evaluation Process

There are two types of hearing loss: conductive (affecting the outer or middle ear) and sensorineural (affecting the inner ear or the brain’s ability to process sounds). Even so, no two patients will face the exact same difficulties, even if they have the same hearing problem. That’s why Vibrant Hearing uses extensive testing methodology. We begin all of our treatments with a comprehensive hearing evaluation to paint a clearer picture of your hearing health and help identify the best ways to approach—and treat—your problem.
